System Requirements
1. Acceptable Manufacturers - Acceptable manufacturers who have demonstrated, produced, and have
history of developing products that meet the per-qualifications as outlined in part 1.3 in the Security
Electronics General section:
Requirements
1. Task Groups Any touchscreen can take over any other touchscreen by assigning or reassigning its
Task Group. Moreover, each touchscreen can be broken down into “functional groups” or screens
and each of these can be controlled by any station dynamically.
a. Each touchscreen station shall be configurable to control part or all of the facility including door
control, intercom, lighting, video, and all other controls.
b. The administrator shall have the ability to assign and reassign Task Groups to each touchscreen
station.
c. The software should allow for on-the-fly task group changes and shall define which screens on a
screen by screen basis each location has control over.
a. All pending intercom calls shall follow their respective screen and roll over with a Task Group
change.
b. All other alarms or other calls shall also follow their respective screen to the new touch screen.
d. Secondary rollover locations shall also be defined as to allow transfer of task upon shutdown.
Each touch screen shall have the complete site software and unique IP address. At startup, and
authorized user, can assign the area served by the touch screen through the HMI, without
changing any Windows processes or IP Addresses.
e. Task Group Assignment Provide the ability for an authorized operator (see User Levels) to
change task assignments between touchscreen locations. This shall happen on the fly and not
require any other user intervention. If a touchscreen station logs out, the touchscreen station with
the next assigned priority, will receive the logged off stations screens including all task group
assignments.
2. Harris County Re-configuration Vendor shall program the system to allow Harris County to change
the following settings: Note: The Programmable logic controller/Human-Mmachine Interface
(PLC/HMI) system MUST allow setting re-reconfiguration in RUNTIME mode, by an authorized
user (see User Levels), in a GUI based format. Linear formats are not acceptable.
a. This device configuration shall include:
Unlocking timers
Hold-open timers
Group functions
Notes function
Screen text
Hold open reminder timers
Shunt reminder timers
Intercom isolate auto reset timers
Intercom timer limit alarms
Monitor sequence builder
Monitor sequence dwell time
