REQUIREMENTS
Vendor shall provide a complete turnkey systems including all software, camera and site licensing,
hardware, equipment, peripherals, programming, interfaces with other systems, conduits, boxes, and
raceways, power, wire and cable, carpentry, demolition, patching, refinishing, and relocation. Include the
cost of all other trades necessary to install the complete system, whether specifically mentioned or not.
The project will entail the following primary work tasks:
Removal of existing cameras and associated hardware
Installation of IP video cameras
Installation of video view and management hardware
Installation and configuration of CCTV system software
Integration of CCTV system software with existing access control system and function processes
Provide user training of the CCTV system upon completion of system installation
Provide CCTV system Harris County documentation of system’s operation, design and
architecture.
Successfully deliver an efficient and reliable CCTV system to HCJPD
Vendor will communicate and coordinate the various work tasks of this project with Harris County
Juvenile Probation, Harris County Information Technology Center, and any other Harris County
Departments that may have involvement/ oversight responsibility for this CCTV system project.
Additionally, vendor shall work cooperatively with other vendors that may be engaged to deliver related
components of the CCTV system.
Specifications presented herein represent the Harris County vision for type of CCTV system that meets the
needs of HCJPD. Vendors may propose options and innovations that meet, extend, improve or add
relevant functionality to the technical and functional specifications discussed in the RFP. The CCTV
System submission must:
Meet Harris County’s technical and functional requirements
Integrate with the existing security access door system
Meet industry standards
Be affordable
Be reliable
Be sustainable
All vendors that can meet and/or exceed these requirements are encouraged to respond to this RFP.
All work performed in the JDC shall be performed in a series of coordinated stages; in a floor-by-floor and
area-by-area order so as not to breach facility security protocols, or disrupt operational processes and
activities. The safety, security and confidentiality of the JDC juvenile residents must be maintained at
100% compliance with JDC’s operational protocols.
