b. All these device configuration features shall not require the PLC ladder-logic to be recompiled
and/or reloaded onto the PLC’s. This must happen dynamically. Systems that require a re-
compile will not be accepted.
3. Digital Voice System (DVS):
a. The system shall incorporate digital voice software and hardware to integrate with the
touchscreen so that all operator actions, system warnings, system emergencies, and other
pertinent information are announced to the operator through an audio card operating on the PC's
bus. Executing the DVS sound shall not prevent the operator from performing any screen
functions, and the operator will not have to wait for the sound to be completed before proceeding
to other screen functions. Within a system utilities screen the operator shall be able to choose to
disable the voice. Harris County shall approve the vocabulary during the system design phase
and shall be allowed to have the complete vocabulary modified once during this time.
b. When Harris County changes the text for a door opening or intercom station dynamically on the
screen, the DVS should automatically change itself to “read” the new text without a recompile or
having to call the original company to upload a new voice file.
4. Duress Quick Key Log Off
a. Each non Central Control touchscreen shall have an icon labeled “Officer Duress” that allows
“one touch” log out and includes an icon on the Central Control touchscreen that displays the
respective control room is in duress.
b. The remote touchscreen is not able to log back in until Central Control enables this touchscreen.
c. User Name and password then logs back in the user at the remote touchscreen.
5. Extended CCTV Controls Each touchscreen shall have “CCTV Control Screen” that allows
operators to dynamically create, modify, start, stop and change the dwell time of camera sequences
for all monitors in the CCTV system.
a. Each touchscreen shall have a CCTV screen that is used to select any sequencing monitor on the
project. Once on this screen, the officer can select a monitor them close the window and see a
graphical layout of all CCTV monitors under control of that respective touchscreen and create
sequences for each monitor or segment of a multiview monitor.
b. Each camera shall be shown in a list and an operator can select the monitor, which highlights,
then select a camera to “spot” an image to that particular monitor in the system. The new camera
number shall then be shown on that monitor icon.
c. Iris (open and close) and Focus (open and close) icons shall be shown for manual control of
respective cameras.
d. Quads: For quads each quadrant shall be selectable as a separate monitor. Quad monitor shall
also have icons to switch between full screen and quad screen modes.
e. Sequencing: Each monitor shall have it’s own sequence list. The officer shall select the monitor
icon followed by the sequence icon which causes a list of cameras appear in the order of their
sequence.
f. Add/Change: The software shall allow cameras to be added or deleted anywhere in the sequence.
g. Start/Stop Sequence: “Start”, “Stop” and selectable “Dwell Time” icons respectively control the
sequence.
