Virtual Matrix Display Controller
1. Virtual Matrix Display Controller (VMDC) shall be available for digital video recording management
and network software. The VMC shall provide the following capabilities:
a. Display any IP camera on the network on any monitor on the network.
b. Allow the use of both 4 x 3 and 16 x 9 monitors.
c. Allow control of the system from VMDC PC GUI, PLC.
d. Supports up to 2 monitors per workstation.
e. Map capability.
2. The VMDC shall be a Vicon VMDC-2 Virtual Matrix Display Controller tower unit.
3. The VMDC shall be equipped with a PS-2 or USB wheel mouse and 101-key keyboard. D.
Recommend settings are 1024x768 pixels and 32-bit color.
4. A VMDC PC shall operate in tandem with all touchscreen control stations.
5. All VMDC shall be enclosed to prevent tampering using a computer security enclosure that is
lockable. This prevents non-key holders from tampering and port access on all touchscreen control
stations.
Fixed Dome Vandalproof Color Camera
Provide quantities and types as shown on plans and as applicable to the mounting location.
1. The fixed dome, color camera shall incorporate a fixed camera/lens combination. The camera domes
shall be available as indoor/outdoor models in network (IP). The cameras shall offer in-ceiling
mounting or surface-mounting. The cameras shall also have the ability to be mounted to a standard 4
x 4 electrical box. An adapter shall be available for pendant mounting on a standard 1 ½ NPT fitting.
2. The cameras shall be available in color and day/night models. (quantities and types as shown on
plans)
3. The color camera shall have a resolution of 560 TVL. Built-in digital noise reduction shall improve
image quality in low-light environments. Privacy masking shall provide the ability to mask out
selected regions of the screen. A Highlight Mask feature shall mask bright spots in a scene, providing
better overall clarity.
4. The cameras shall be constructed with a metal housing with a smoked, high-impact, polycarbonate
plastic dome and black mask. All camera models shall be protected with tamper-resistant screws.
5. The IP models shall provide a 100Mbps, TCP/IP Unicast network interface.
6. The cameras shall have an internal heater PoE power option.
7. The camera position shall have a three-axis adjustment, allowing for adjustment of pan (360°), tilt
(70° from vertical) and lens rotation (roll), for any angle of view required. A choice of lenses: 3.3 to
12 mm or 9 to 22 mm, shall be offered to match the application range.
8. The camera shall be designed for easy installation and setup. The extensive onscreen display menus
shall allow set up of white balance, AGC, backlight compensation, exposure, privacy masks and
many other functions.
